15 Novembro 2009
Hello!
I had a very blessed weekend. We had a visit from Sister Barbara Thompson and Sister Mary Nielsen Cook.
They were both very nice and say Hi to each one of us.
We had a very good practice and important for us, especially the resumption of visits of home teachers and visiting teachers.
What I liked best was that of Sister Barbara Thompson for having told of situations of herself , and mistakes that I and others have committed and we have to improve.
I felt very close to her, but the point is that she said the important thing is to always try our best.

Nurturing a New Generation
A few weeks ago my stake president told me he has great respect for single adults because we are a source of knowledge and wisdom. This is the time that we invest to acquire more education. As we don’t have husbands / wives and children we have more opportunities (not more time) to explore our knowledge and embrace new challenges.
I intend to come to have a family. When as to happen it will.
I never thought that my academic knowledge could prove useful in the work of the Lord, but every time I see that the more knowledge I acquire have helped me both in life and in my calls.
The time was as a counsellor of the Relief Society in my Ward, helped me a lot and I loved having this call. As we are few now, many members have gone to other countries in search of a better life; we have a lot of work in my ward. It has been a blessing that we are going through this stage to see what we need to improve and do better for the Lord's work.
And how are things in your Ward? They have had the opportunity to “shine” by sharing your knowledge?

A lesson
Hello!
I want to share a little experiment with a theme on which we in the Relief Society lesson on 26-04-2009. The theme of the lesson was based on a speech by Elder Benar the October 2008 conference is "Pray Always."
Has been discussed many times about the importance of prayer and pray, but few are the times that we learned of how to pray.
With this lesson learned, when it begins the prayer, which is at the end and put into practice, or when after the prayer, and that in prayer the night before sleep, in addition to thanking the Father Celestial the day I had, I must make a report of my day, or an analysis of my attitudes and actions thoughts.
Believes that from the moment you put these lessons into practice has made all the difference.
I am more aware of my actions and so I am better able to correct my mistakes.
I apologize for daring, but wanted to share this experience with you and hope you also will be able to make a difference in your life.

15 - 16 February - Elder Bednar Visit to Portugal
This last two were historic for us. We were blessed with Elder Bednar visit.
On the 16 he and Sister Bednar talked to the single adults. It was very exciting to be in the same room, and 15 feet away. He told us to make in questions that he would hawser. And he patiently did. And he also told us to be patient with hour family and friends, because some of us are the first our second generation in the church, and in 34 years we still have a long way.
